From California to Florida...

Hi everyone, time is passing by way to fast. Just before i know it, i have already left California and i'm now in Florida for a few days.
It was quite sad on our last day in California, because over there life was pretty layback, don't really have to worry about much things, we just relax, chill, hang out with friends, that's it.
And also, i kinda miss UCR, miss the food there, miss yogurtland and many more....
Orlando is pretty good too. I enjoy going to walmart, there's tons and tons of things to buy, and there's a huge hole in my pocket. I already spend like close to a hundred just in a few days, and seriously, everything i bought are necessities.
Alright anyway, talking about california, i think i didn't mention this but we had a los angeles tour that time and we went to santa monica beach, hollywood and farmer's market.
Santa monica beach was beautiful, hollywood was an eye opener, and farmer's market... i did a lot of shopping.

Just look at how beautiful their beach is... The sand is so soft, and the water is so blue. The sky is so nice too...

Next up, the wax museum at hollywood. Took a lot of pictures with the stars, some whom i dont even know who. But anyway, this is my favourite oneeeee! Hehe Zac Efron!!!

These are my buys from f21 at farmer's market!!! My blink blink skirt love it so much but damn sad some of the glitters fall off and it looks weird now. I haven't even wear it once!! :(

Another shopping trip at the galleria mall in los angeles. Unfortunately we spent all our time in F21 and H&M and didn't have time to walk much around the mall.

And..... welcome to Disneyland in LA!! This is the carousel!! I went to sit on it! I think it is every girl's dream to sit on the carousel?

And... we also went to the cabazon outlets, which is the premium outlet in CA. Didn't buy much though because i'm so afraid that my luggage will be overweight. So i got myself a new wallet from Fossil!



And.. this ends of my trip in CA. Anyway, on our last day we went for brunch at IHOP. Apparently they have a lot of outlets around America. Their food is realllyyyy goooood! And the serving is huge, and it is not very expensive.

And yupp, now i've been in Florida for almost a week. Trying to adapt to everything here. You see, everytime you get from one location to another, you always need to adapt to all the changes. Anyway, I will be working at hollywood studios, already started my training. I'm working under merchandising. When i have off days/ free, i will head down to walmart. Hmm haven't had the chance to go to florida mall and the other theme parks. But i guess soon? Maybe i'll be visiting the waterparks on monday!! Excited!! Wanted to go initially with my friends two days ago, but sadly i need to head down to walmart to get something.

Welcome to california!

Hi everyone,
I've been here in california for about 5 days i guess?
Its really beautiful here, the sky here is really blue, the clouds are really pretty and the air is fresh.
Sometimes it gets really hot here, even hotter than singapore, but well, sometimes the wind is really cooling.
We had our lessons here, its from like 8.30 to 4.30 each day. Actually everything we learn is similar to what we learnt in sp, hmmm just that i think the instructors here really explained everything well. Hmm, but since i've learnt those before, i really felt so sleepy during classes.
And anyway, we are all trying to maximize all our time here in california! Coz when we get to florida, most of us have different shifts and we dont really have the time to go out together anymore. The first day we arrived, we had our meals somewhere quite far from where we stay because the cafe isnt open. We had to walk 20 mins to get to the place. And then we did go opposite our apartment to get some necessities and walked around. Its a really nice place with a lot of stores and its so convenient. Yogurtland!!!! Their yogurt is so super cheap. In singapore, if u go to places like sogurt and maybe sour milk whereby they charge by weight, usually when i buy it its always at least $5? And over here, its only like about $2 plus or $3 plus!!
And anyway second day, we went to k mart, which is a hypermarket. Its big there and they sell almost everything. Their cosmetics is really cheap. The mascara and eyeliner i bought in Singapore for about 20 bucks cost about $7-$8 over here! But a pity i didn't get it, intend to go florida to get! I dont want to pay extra for my luggage being overweight!
Yeap, and day 3 and 4 was when we started lessons. And i think we did go opposite to walk again. And then day 4 we also went to k mart again after our lessons. This time round in a bigger group and we really went crazy! The guys were all trying the female footwear, wearing the high heels and i think they got scolded twice? And after so long, i finally went back to those times when i was like a kid, i just sat down inside the trolley with people pushing me around k mart. Okay it was kind of an embarrassment but americans don't really care that much. Unlike in singapore, i guess i'll already be on stomp? We made lots of noise there, but really, it was the most crazy and enjoyable grocery shopping trip i've ever made!
And today, we went to watch a movie! Woooooohoooooooooo my first movie in US. The movie theatres are quite cool, its like you can almost have the whole theatre to yourself. There's like less to 10 people when we got in?
Yeap i watched a horror movie though. Only girl there! Okay i'm such a brave girl hehe! :D
And now, taking some time off to blog here. Anyway just to say, the food here erm.... apparently isnt really nice. I'm quite sick of western food and my stomach gets upset this few days after eating the food. I guess i just hadn't adapt to the food here, i hope it gets better :X

My long awaiting trip (:

Finally.
After waiting for so long, in about 6 hrs' time, i'm gonna be on the plane and heading to california.
Mixed feelings now. I'm excited (really) and nervous now.
You know, i think i didn't really mention to alot of people before why i decided to to disney for itp. Initially, i didn't decide to go to disney because i wanted to, i decided to go to disney because i wanted to escape from some problems. Yes for half a year, and i stupidly thought that by going away for half a year, i would solve the problem. But no, some things you can't escape no matter what. Thankfully, my itp was in semester 2. It was destined for me to face the problem. And yes, to think about it, how foolish i was at that time. But after everything was over, i decided, i still want to go to disney for an experience. You know, there's not much people who get such opportunities, shouldn't i cherish it? Yes true, i would be very broke when i come back, but life's short, shouldn't we do what we want to and live life to the fullest?
This trip to US, i hope to see a change in myself. Change to what exactly? I don't really know. I just feel that, my personality needs a change. Perhaps a change in environment could help me change. I hope to be a more independent person by the time I'm back. Definitely, i hope to be a much stronger girl (:
Actually all i want to say is, there's many things that are unexpected in life.
I'm going for half a year (about 7 months to be exact), its not too long, but its not too short either. We won't know what's gonna happen during this period of time right? I mean... some say 2012 is the end of the world (though many people don't believe) but..... we never know. So, we just won't know what's gonna happen. (touchwood) But, all i want to say is, I guess i'm someone who would rather lead a fulfiling life, get to experience what i want, and if i really want something, i would just do it. I won't want to not do it and regret it for the rest of my life. So, if, i mean really if something were to happen, at least i'm happy for being able to experience what i wanted.
Anyway, thank you to all those who wished me before my trip! And thanks to all the small gifts too! I appreciate it.
